The charity that Bonhams will be supporting is The International Foundation for Greece (IFG).
The International Foundation for Greece (IFG) was founded in London by George and Aspasia Leventis. Its main goals are the promotion of the Hellenic culture abroad in collaboration with international personalities of arts and science, and social contribution.
The Foundation aims, among others, at the supply of heating oil for schools and charitable institutions throughout Hellas, the purchase of specialised medical equipment and ambulances and the granting of scholarships. Furthermore, one of the main goals of the Foundation is the preparation of the Architectural Study Design and construction of the New Archaeological Museum of Delos.
The International Foundation for Greece has, so far, supplied heating oil to more than 450 schools and charitable institutions throughout Hellas, has donated computers to schools in Northern Greece, Peloponnese and Aitoloakarnania, has provided the necessary medical equipment to the Paediatric Clinic, Paediatric Outpatient Clinic and Paediatric Emergencies of Rethymno Hospital in Crete and has donated a fully equipped ambulance to the National Emergency Centre (EKAB), as well as, special physiotherapy hospital beds to the Workshop of Special Vocational Training and Rehabilitation "PANAGIA ELEOUSA" in the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania. The Foundation has also granted scholarships to "Little Musicians" in support of the Athens Conservatory's programme.
