Iain Byatt-Smith

Iain Byatt-Smith is a valuer based in Bonhams Leeds, undertaking valuations for sales, insurance and probate purposes. Covering areas in Yorkshire as well as the North East of England, North Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Humberside. With particular interest in Pictures, Sporting Art and Scottish Art.

After completing his post graduate diploma with Christies Education, Iain joined Bonhams Knightsbridge in 2006 as a porter, before joining the team in Edinburgh Furniture department and latterly the Scottish Picture Department. During his time in Edinburgh, Iain completed an undergraduate degree with the Open University in Art History and Classics as well as a received a Distinction for his Masters Degree with Kingston University in Art Market Appraisal (Professional Practice). Iain had three years away from Bonhams, where he worked for Tennants Auctioneers and Anderson & Garland before returning to Bonhams in April 2022.
