Rex Lin

Rex Lin is a Senior Specialist in Chinese Paintings at Bonhams, based in Taiwan. With over 15 years of experience in the art industry, he is actively involved in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

In his role, Rex is responsible for expanding the department's client base and business network in the Asian region. He offers professional consulting and valuation services to collectors. As a valued Bonhams' global Chinese Paintings team member, Rex collaborates closely with his colleagues to enhance Asian clients' participation in global Chinese Paintings auctions. The exceptional artworks and collections that he has brought to auction include the collection of celebrated Beijing opera performer Gao Hua, paintings from the Mingzhai Collection and a private collection of artworks by Pu Ru.

Before joining Bonhams, Rex served as an expert in the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy department at the Poly Auction Hong Kong, where he worked as an auctioneer. Rex completed his studies in Visual Communication at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore and is proficient in Mandarin, English and Thai.
