Paul O'Hara

Paul O'Hara is the Business Manager for American Furniture and Decorative Arts at Bonhams Skinner. Since joining the company in 2021, he has been responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the department and has gained experience with the full range of American decorative arts, from formal colonial furniture to Chinese export porcelain. He also curates the twice-yearly Gentleman's Auctions, which offer a diverse group of objects that appeal to the modern man, from both contemporary and antique sources.

Paul holds a B.A. in Archeology from Harvard University, where he also competed as a sprinter on the varsity swimming team. His coursework focused on Pre-Columbian Latin America, but expanded to encompass Central Asia, Egypt, and the ancient Near East. Paul further developed his experience researching and evaluating objects as Intern for Pre-Columbian Studies at Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection in his native Washington DC.
