Stephanie Opolski is a Specialist for Bonhams Skinner's European Furniture & Decorative Arts and Fine Silver departments. As an experienced general appraiser, she evaluates and brings to auction a wide range of material, including European furniture, jewelry, silver, and sculpture in bronze and marble. As a USPAP certified appraiser, she also assists clients with fair market value and replacement value appraisals.
Since joining Bonhams Skinner in 2012, Stephanie has handled many diverse collections – from silver yachting trophies and Russian icons to 18th century Dutch furniture and silver accumulated over a lifetime. She is always happy to spend time with clients discussing their pieces and looks forward to the next find, whether it is a piece of Gorham Martele or a long-lost Anton Werres sculpture.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History and Russian Cultural Studies from the College of the Holy Cross, and a Master's degree from Sotheby's Institute in Fine & Decorative Arts, focusing on European furniture. She has interned with Haughton International Fairs in London and New York. Stephanie is currently working on her Gemologist degree through the Gemological Institute of America in New York.
