Mary Gatenby

Mary Gatenby is an Associate Specialist for the Modern British & Irish Art department at Bonhams Knightsbridge in London.

Prior to joining Bonhams in 2022, Mary studied Fine Art at Oxford University, before undertaking an MA in Art Market and Appraisal at Kingston School of Art from 2019-2020, where her research focused on the relationship between the art market and war art. She continued in this field on the Courtauld Institute of Art's course, 'Documentary Reborn' 2020-2021, where she focused on the documentation of the Iraq War. She has given guest lectures at Central Saint Martins and at the University of the Arts Belgrade.
