In 2021, she was the first female auctioneer in over 40 years to take to the rostrum at the Staffordshire Motorcycle Show and now delights in taking the Motorcycle auctions twice annually. Briony is also the first female auctioneer for Bonhams to sell cars and delights in taking these specialist motor car auctions both in the UK and USA, notably selling a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster for $1,160,000 at The Audrain Concours Auction in Newport, Rhode Island in October 2024.
After receiving her Masters degree in Fine & Decorative Art from Sotheby's Institute, Briony worked for several London auction houses and art advisors before joining Bonhams in 2021. She has a breadth of expertise carrying out all types of valuation work, including probate, insurance and auction market, and, as a general valuer, covers all disciplines but has a particular interest in silver and modern British and contemporary art and ceramics.
