Kevin Gaines

Kevin Gaines is Client Liaison at Bonhams' Ireland office in Dublin, which operates as a consignment hub to international auctions for clients in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. His area of expertise is 19th and 20th century Irish art, and he helps to source important Irish paintings for auctions and private sales.

Since joining Bonhams in 2021, Kevin played a key role in the successful consignment of Adrien-Jean Le Mayer de Merpres's Two Women Arranging Flowers in an Interior, which sold for HK$14,052,500 (€1,740,290). Other notable consignments include the manuscript Sonnets by Irish poet Mary Tighe, which sold for £47,750, and Andy Warhol's Mick Jagger, from Mick Jagger Portfolio, 1975, which sold for £106,500 (€124,060) in the Pop X Culture auction in 2021.

Before Bonhams, Kevin worked at Jorgensen Gallery, Dublin, where he assisted in organising exhibitions featuring notable Irish artists such as Paul Henry, Grace Henry, Evie Hone, Mainie Jellett, Mary Swanzy and Roderic O'Conor.
