Dora Tan

Dora Tan is a Specialist in Indian, Himalayan & Southeast Asian Art based in Hong Kong. She has been pivotal to the continued success of the department's sales, including the Claude de Marteau Collection and the Images of Devotion series, inaugurated in 2016. Under her supervision, this series has achieved superlative results for the sale of artworks from prestigious collections, including a private Swiss collection of Tibetan portrait bronzes and selections from the Nyingjei Lam Collection.

Proficient in English and fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, Dora is a key conduit for important Chinese-speaking collectors of Indian and Himalayan art.

Dora holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies & Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies, both from the University of Hong Kong. In addition to Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhist art, she has a special interest in Buddhist art from the Ancient Region of Gandhara, Silk Roads and Esoteric Chinese Buddhism.
