Carolin von Massenbach

Carolin von Massenbach is Head of Prints & Multiples, London. She joined Bonhams in June 2016 and has since been instrumental in the growth of the Prints & Multiples department and its profile.

Developing client relationships and sourcing, appraising and valuing artworks, she travels regularly across Europe with a focus on growing business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Carolin has a special interest in Modern and Contemporary prints - with a particular passion for German Expressionism and Impressionism, 20th Century European Avant-Garde, and Post-War and Contemporary. Having curated numerous specialist sales, Carolin set auction records for works by artists such as Banksy, Harland Miller and Pablo Picasso.

Prior to joining Bonhams, Carolin worked in the art world in Germany and the UK, most recently in the Modern and Contemporary Art & Prints department at Dreweatts & Bloomsbury Auctions. She graduated with honors from The University of Göttingen with a Magister Atrium (M. A.) in History of Art and Economics, combining her art expertise with financial understanding. German by birth, she is fluent in English, German and French.
