Gigi Yu

Gigi Yu is the head of the Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art department at Bonhams Hong Kong, spearheading all Chinese Works of Art businesses in the region as well as supporting global sales of Chinese Works of Art.

Ms Yu began her auction career at Bonhams London, where she trained as a specialist for three years before joining the Hong Kong team in 2014. Over the following six years, Ms Yu played an instrumental role in a series of high-profile single-owner sales including: Snuff Bottles from the Angela Chua Collection (2018 and 2019), The Durwin Tang Collection of Chinese Jades (2018), The Songzhutang Collection of Early Jades (2017), and The Cheng Huan Collection of Buddhist Art (2014). Before returning to Bonhams, Ms Yu was Deputy Director and Specialist of Chinese Works of Art at Sotheby's Hong Kong. She has a deep interest in snuff bottles, Ming and Qing dynasty porcelain and jades.

Ms Yu is a graduate of the University College London, and has a Master's degree in Arts of China from University of Glasgow and Christie's Education.
