Amy Thompson

Amy Thompson is Bonhams' Global Head of Business Development and Director of Business Development for 20th Century Art.

Since joining in 2014, Amy has held numerous positions at Bonhams, including as a Specialist and Director for our Post-War & Contemporary Art auctions in London and New York, before being promoted to her current role in 2022. Amy has been involved in several exceptional sales at Bonhams including as Head of Sale for Kusama: The Collection of the Late Dr Teruo Hirose as well as the Estate of Dr Walid Juffali.

Before Bonhams, Amy worked at another major international auction house. She has also held positions at the Corcoran Museum of Art, Washington, and the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Amy studied Art History and Dance at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where she was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
