Los Angeles – Jim Carrey, acclaimed actor, artist and writer, will present a selection of his eclectic and captivating art and design collection at Bonhams Los Angeles on July 25 as part of the Modern Design | Art sale. The 35-lot collection reflects Carrey's vibrant and creative spirit and has been meticulously curated by Carrey over nearly 30 years.

Commenting on the sale, Jim Carrey said: "It's been my very good fortune to be surrounded by many of the finer things in life and I'm always gratified when it's time to let them go so that others may enjoy them as well."

The collection showcases outstanding examples of modern design, featuring prominent creators celebrated within distinguished design circles. Many pieces selected by Carrey draw influence from nature's forms such as the lily pad coffee table by Paula Swinnen (b. 1964), the Borghese sofa by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance (b. 1975), and the cloud-form coffee table by Joris Laarman (b. 1979).

• Philippe Hiquily (1925-2013), Armchair, designed 1971, executed 2004. Brass, steel, cowhide, monogrammed 'HP' and numbered '10/40'. Estimate: $20,000 – 30,000.
• Philippe Hiquily (1925-2013) and Jean-Claude Farhi (1940-2012), Console, designed 1968, executed 1989. Gilt-bronze, yellow altuglas, numbered '7/8' with foundry mark 'Bocquel Fd'. Estimate: $20,000 – 30,000.
• Alexander McQueen (1969-2010), Hummingbird Rug. Hand woven silk and metallic thread, wool. Estimate: $15,000 – 20,000.
• Maison Leleu, Executive Desk, 1965. Mahogany, patinated and gilt-bronze. Estimate: $8,000 – 12,000.

Complementing the exceptional design are remarkable works of fine art including pieces by the renowned artists David Hockney and Kenny Scharf. Additionally, the sale features superb rock and roll photography, immortalizing legendary figures including John Lennon, and Bob Dylan.
