Top DRC Collection Leads Bonhams February Fine and Rare Wines & Spirits Sale in London

London – An extensive collection of wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti leads Bonhams Fine and Rare Wine & Spirits Sale in London on Thursday 24 February. The 91 lot collection has a low estimate of £348,000.

Highlights include:

• Single bottles of Romanée-Conti from 2000, 2004 and 2006 (estimate: £12,000-14,000 each)

• Six bottles of La Tâche 2003 (estimate: £18,000-22,000)

• Six bottles of Richebourg 2006 (estimate: £12,000-14,000)

• Three bottles each of Montrachet from 2004 and 2006 (estimate: £13,000-15,000 per lot)

Bonhams Senior International Director of Wine Richard Harvey M.W. said: "This major group of Domaine Romanée-Conti wines contains all the names and vintages which you'd expect to find in a serious collection. They have great market appeal, and I am anticipating strong interest from bidders."

• The collection includes five vintages of Sassicaia, several in large formats

• The sale also features a fine collection of rare Cognacs and Armagnacs, including a range of AE Dor vintages – 1834, 1840, 1858, 1875, 1889, and 1893 (estimates from £2,000 to £6,000 per bottle) as well as a complete set of eight Courvoisier Cognac Erté Decanters with labels designed by the French-Russian artist Romain de Tirtoff (1892-1990) known as Erté, estimated at £6000-7,000.
