Bonhams and the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation (JGLF) proudly present a special charity auction celebrating Dr. Jane Goodall's extraordinary life and work. The online auction will take place from 18 April to 7 May.

Funds raised from this event will directly support JGLF's mission to secure the future of Dr. Goodall's extraordinary life's work. For nearly 65 years, she has dedicated herself to studying and protecting our planet and its inhabitants.

From her groundbreaking research on wild chimpanzees in Gombe—now in its 65th year—to community-led conservation, sanctuaries for orphaned chimpanzees, and the global youth-led environmental and humanitarian programme, Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots, her legacy continues to inspire conservation and advocacy worldwide.

Through Dr. Goodall's Tacare programme, community-based conservation has expanded to over 100 villages in Tanzania and is replicated in five other countries in Africa promoting sustainable practices such as tree planting, coffee and honey cultivation, microcredit, health, and education. This holistic approach empowers local communities to become our partners in conservation.

Meanwhile, cutting-edge research at Gombe continues to evolve, integrating new technology and international partnerships to generate vital insights into chimpanzee behavior.
The Jane Goodall Institute's sanctuaries in South Africa and the Republic of Congo provide lifelong care for orphaned chimpanzees rescued from the bushmeat and wildlife trafficking trades. Its education programmes promote alternative livelihoods and foster conservation awareness.

And of course, Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots, which began in Tanzania in 1991, has grown into a global movement spanning more than 75 countries. It empowers young people of all ages to take action through hands-on projects that benefit their communities, animals—including domestic animals—and the environment.
