One with an ogee bowl engraved with the crest of the Urquhart family, a dexter hand holding a dagger in pale proper, within the motto 'MEAN SPEAK AND DO WELL', the reverse with the initials 'A*U' flanked by tied palm fronds, an 'OXO' border to the rim, on a diamond-faceted stem and conical foot, 14.8cm high, the other with a slightly flared round funnel bowl decorated with a stylised floral spray, perhaps a carnation, on a tall diamond-faceted stem and heavy faceted conical foot, 15.5cm high (2)

The crest and initials probably relate to Adam 'The Chevalier' Urquhart of Byth (1721-1803), who married his cousin Elizabeth Urquhart in 1778 and was for some years a member of Bonnie Prince Charlie's court-in-exile in Rome.
