In three parts, each stamped 'Cahusac London', in fitted case, together with Flutes, Flautists & Makers, by Andrew Fairley, Pan Educational Music, London, 1982, when constructed: 61cm wide, 2.5cm deep, 2.5cm high (24in wide, 0 1/2in deep, 0 1/2in high) (2)

Thomas Cahusac founded his flute making business in London in 1755, with his sons continuing to make the high quality wind instruments until 1816.

Registered in accordance with the Ivory Act 2018 as a pre-1918 item of outstandingly high artistic, cultural or historical value. Certificate number 8N6YQ74K.
