The Girard-Perregaux "Triple Gold Bridge" Tourbillon transformed watchmaking by turning the bridge from a functional component into a design feature. The Three Gold Bridges, as the name suggests, consist of three parallel gold double-arrow bridges on the dial, supporting the barrel, central axis, and tourbillon carriage in a perfectly symmetrical and balanced layout, a remarkable achievement in an era limited to hand-painting and engraving.
