The Armin Strom Orbit reference ST22-OR.90 is an amazing timepiece from the famed independent watchmaker that features an "on-demand date" system, the first of its kind in any timepiece. The complication ensures that the date hand points to the current date only when a pusher at the 10 o'clock position is pressed. The timepiece is powered by the in-house caliber ASS20, which includes a micro-rotor and operates at 3.5Hz with a three-day power reserve, all housed in a 43mm-wide steel case with an integrated bracelet, and a gorgeous black ceramic bezel and a skeletonized dial showcasing the movement. The timepiece also employs a constant force mechanism ensuring consistent power delivery for improved accuracy. The current lot is in excellent and includes its accessories and is under warranty until October 2028. For lovers of innovative independent watchmaking, Armin Strom Orbit is an incredible timepiece and one to consider for their permanent collections.
