清十八至十九世紀 御用明黃綢松鶴延年孔雀開屏紋扇套
It is a part of Manchurian dress culture to suspend various everyday items from belts and hems, including pouches and cases for fans, watch, archer's rings, eyeglass, perfumes or incense, betel nut, key, and boot inserts. These are collectively known as huoji.
The bright yellow is a colour exclusively reserved for the emperor and empress. The Palace Museum collection includes multiple sets of Imperial yellow dress accessories worn by Emperor Guangxu, see acc.no.故00070128-1-8/8 and 故00069382-1/7.
A close examination of the embroidery craftsmanship on this current lot reveals fine and dense stitches with lively composition, suggesting it may be a work from the mid-Qing period, possibly from the Jiaqing or Daoguang reigns. Compare with a similar fan case, see Christie's, New York, 19 Mar 2008, lot 64.
清代滿族習俗，特別喜愛在腰帶或領襟之間的鈕扣上佩掛各類日常隨手可用的小雜品，如荷包、扇套、錶套、搬指套、香囊、眼鏡盒、襤褸、檳榔袋、鑰匙袋、靴掖等，通稱「活計」。明黃乃帝制御用專色。故宮博物院藏多套光緒帝穿戴明黃地活計，見館藏故00070128-1-8/8，故00069382-1/7。細觀本件拍品拍品彩綉工藝，針脚細密，構圖鮮活，或為清中期嘉道閒作品。比較一極其相似扇套，見佳士得，紐約，2008年3月19日，拍品64號。
