From 30th September to the 9th October, Bonhams is delighted to present 'Four-Legged and Feathered Friends: A Fundraising Sale for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration'. Comprising of 68 lots by the well-loved illustrator, this sale is a menagerie of cats, dogs, and monsters, looking for a friend to take them home. Proceeds from the sale will raise funds for the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, the UK's only charity dedicated to celebrating illustration, which was founded by Quentin Blake in 2002. The charity is starting work in October on the restoration of the heritage site New River Head in Clerkenwell, London, which will provide a home for a 40,000-work archive of Blake's drawings, in addition to hosting an exciting schedule of workshops, exhibitions and events.
