Serial number 1468, .58 caliber round barrel, the breech with "US" within an oval cartouche, eagle's head over "P" proof mark, and serial number; flat lock plate with pointed tail marked "HARPERS/FERRY/1807" and with spread wing eagle over "US" below the pan, the inside of the lock plate marked "OWV"; walnut stock with trace of a cartouche behind the side plate; brass furniture including butt cap with long ears, trigger guard with pointed finial, flat side plate, brass nose band, brass entry pipe and iron rib with iron rammer pipe, wood rammer with brass tip and iron ferrule.
Barrel lg. 10, overall lg. 16 in.
Condition: Barrel cleaned bright and with minor pitting at the breech; lock toned to gray/brown; stock has old repair along the barrel channel just above the lock mortice and old glued crack to the right of the trigger guard; brass toned to yellow, action functions properly.
