AN ENGLISH-STYLE FLINTLOCK MILITIA MUSKET,

45 1/2 in., .80 caliber round barrel with ring decoration at the breech and trace of Tower ordnance proof marks; convex, well work Dublin Castle Lock; walnut stock; brass furniture including a butt plate with a narrow tang, India Pattern-style trigger guard, convex "S" side plate, sheet brass rammer pipes, and brass nose band, steel rammer with butt on head and threaded end, later sling swivels.
Overall lg. 61 1/8 in.
Condition: The musket is coated in a thin layer of varnish, barrel toned to brown and vent appears to be bushed; lock markings very worn; stock has scattered dings and dents; missing round thumb piece.
