Artist Statement: Ordered Chaos is an American Artist, firmly rooted in the vibrant art scene of New York since 1990.
He is a modern abstract expressionist with a focus on acrylic and oil on canvas. His paintings, conceptually inspired by Kusama's style, use the repetition of an identical mark on a canvas. But Ordered Chaos' modern and colorful abstract process is unique and an accurate representation of what he is: an analytical brain with the wildest instincts of a man not meant to fit in. His artistic process is best described as an algorithm allowing for randomness.
Ordered Chaos self-professed that painting saved his life. He believes that people don't choose to be painters-painting chooses them.
Ordered Chaos received a degree in Economics and Maths, which set him up perfectly for a prosperous career in finance. While following the path to professional success and money, his business shut down during the pandemic.
During this quarantine time, he painted exact replicas of Kusama's "Infinity Nets," to hang in his living room. When he discovered that this new addiction was more than just a challenge, he began creating his own paintings and self-taught Ordered Chaos' was officially born.
Beyond his artistry, Ordered Chaos is an accomplished pianist. Years of piano training have sharpened his precision, granting him a hypersensitivity to touch—allowing his brush to land with the same controlled intent as his fingers on the keys. His mastery of both disciplines reveals the deep connection between music and painting, where rhythm, pressure, and flow converge into a singular expression.
