A group of later mathematics books through the 20th century. 1. HAMILTON, HUGH. A Geometrical Treatise of the Conic Sections. London: J. Nourse, 1773. 8vo. 17 folding plates. Contemporary calf. Upper cover detached, tape repair to plate 8, rubbed, browning.
2. DE BUFFON, GEORGES-LOUIS. Storia naturale, generale e particulare. Venice: Antonio Zatta, 1782. 12mo. Engraved illustrations in text, some with hand-coloring. Contemporary half vellum and marbled boards. Rubbed, top edges of boards faded, light dampstaining to top margins.
3. TOMTSANY, ADAM. Institutiones physicae, quas compendio dedit. Pest: Johann Thomas Trattner, 1820-1821. 3 volumes. 8vo. Volumes I & II rebound in modern half calf antique and marbled boards, volume III in contemporary half calf and marbled boards. Volume II joints cracking, corners bumped, light browning and spotting throughout.
