THREE INLAID-IRON TSUBA

Edo period (1615-1868), 18th/19th century
The first rounded rectangular, chiseled in high relief and with details in gold and copper depicting Shōki on one side and an oni hiding under his hat on the other, signed Toshinaga monjin Toshiharu;
the second rounded rectangular with a hammered-up rim, chiseled in relief and with details in gold depicting Shōki on horseback and chrysanthemums, signed Ryūseimin kore o tsukuru and Nyūtō shūgetsu zu for the painting source;
the third circular, chiseled in relief and with details in gold, shibuichi, and shakudō depicting a rooster, hen, chick, and rice stooks, signed Gyōsai nanajūgo Masayoshi saku
Each with a wood storage box
3 3/4in (9.5cm) high, the largest (3).
