Footnotes
Robert Peake painted three primary full-length portraits of Henry, Prince of Wales, between circa 1604- 1610. The present work is derived from the earliest of these, and perhaps best known: Henry Frederick (1594–1612), Prince of Wales, with Sir John Harington (1592–1614), in the Hunting Field, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (acc. no. 44.27).
