A pair of 19th century French gilt bronze three light candelabra

In the Louis XVI style, perhaps in the manner of Eugene Hazart
The upward scrolling bell husk panelled arms supporting fluted vase nozzles with beaded drip pans and acanthus cast swept collars issuing from central ribbon tied laurel garlanded pedestal urn supports with with flambe finials, the stem supports formed as three goat legs, on acanthus socles and circular bases, 32.9cm high, 22.5cm wide overall (2)

Eugène Hazart was registered as a sculptor and manufacturer of bronzes in Paris in the 17th arrondissement. Specialising in reproducing 'Le bon goût' French designs of the 18th century for a new audience, he was the son of Pierre Louis Hazart, sculptor in Paris (1805-1868) and Marie Françoise Désirée Laffond(1812-1861).
