FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST PRINTED GRAMMAR OF THE IRISH LANGUAGE, written by the Franciscan Francis Molloy (c.1606-1677), with chapters devoted to the letters of the alphabet, etymology, contractions, cryptic writings, prosody and versification, and at the end a poem by the author, in Irish, on the decline in use of the Irish language and the prospects for its revival.
