Lots will open for bidding on 20th May at 12 noon and will close online at 1 minute intervals on 29th May from 12 noon BST// 1pm CET // 7am EST // 8pm HKT.The sale contains a very healthy representation of one of Scotland's most celebrated distilleries, The Macallan. Leading the auction is The Macallan Anniversary Malt 50 year old 1928 (Lot 18). At the time of its release in 1983, The Macallan Anniversary Malt 50 year old was the oldest expression ever released by the iconic Speyside distillery. Selected from three casks filled in 1926 and 1928, Allan Shiach, the then chairman of The Macallan, stated 'It is no exaggeration to say that (this) bottle of 50 years old The Macallan is literally irreplaceable'. An unusual offering at auction, we are also delighted to include The Macallan Aerospace Anniversary Malt 1962 (Lot 16). Typically presented as a 12 year old, this 25 year old was gifted to the current owner whilst staying as a guest at Great Nast Hyde House, which was used by British Aerospace to entertain valued clients and guests. Other wonderful offerings from the Speyside distillery are The Macallan 1951 (Lot 17), a pre-cursor to the renowned Fine and Rare series and the ever popular Macallan Private Eye (Lot 10).Heading further north we have two exceptional bottlings from Dalmore. The Dalmore Ceti 30 year old (lot 35), and The Dalmore Constellation 32 year old 1980 (lot 34). Launched in 2012, The Dalmore Constellation Series comprises 21 cask strength vintages from 1964 to 1992. The Dalmore Constellation 32 year old 1980 is matured entirely in American White Oaks and is one of only 227 stunning decanters.Also included in the sale is a lovely collection of pre-prohibition and early 20th Century ryes and whiskeys, such as Dandie Dinmont Blended Scotch Whisky (Lot 49) & Old Rye Whiskey-Golden Wedding 1898 (Lot 50).All bottles, with the exception of those under bond, are stored at Bonhams offices and warehousing in Oxford to facilitate easy worldwide shipping.For all sale enquiries, please contact Georgia.porteous@bonhams.com
