Native American & Tribal Art

3 – 13 March 2024

Discover the art of native peoples from around the world in our spring auction. Featuring a diverse array of treasures, including African masks and figures, Polynesian artefacts from Hawaii, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand, as well as clubs and stone tools from Melanesia. Standout items include a rare and early water storage gourd from Hawaii, a Fijian cannibal fork shaped like a flying fox, and a remarkable Suku helmet mask from the Congo.

In addition, our Native American collection boasts exceptional pieces such as a vast selection of Plains beadwork, a rare and early Northern Plains beaded hide robe, and an early Northwest Coast copper-bladed dagger from the Tlingit tribe of southern Alaska. Representing the Southwest, we offer a captivating range of Pueblo pottery, both historic and contemporary, along with Navajo weavings, and exquisite silver and turquoise jewellery.
