"Infinite chromatic shades of green, freely placed using small, dry brushstrokes in the foliage of the trees, which invade the entire verticality of the painting Rock at Anseremme (no.23) in the foreground, which constitutes an exceptional study of air movement through them, while their clear reflection make the grey-coloured rock shine through the brown-green tones, placed in brittle chromatic surfaces, full of substance, worked with spatula strokes."1
