On November 16 in New York, alongside the sale of The Estate of Melvin S. Rosenthal, Bonhams is pleased to be offering major works by the leading artists of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, including works from The Estate of Sherman K. Edmiston Jr., in our Post-War & Contemporary Art auction. Leading the sale is Andy Warhol's Diamond Dust Shoes from 1980, alongside Keith Haring's iconic Radiant Baby from the Grace House Mural. The Estate of Sherman K. Edmiston features exceptional works by Norman Lewis and the late Sam Gilliam, pioneers of Abstract Expressionism and the Washington Colour School, respectively. Further highlights include outstanding examples by Adriana Varejão, Rashid Johnson and Richard Diebenkorn, in addition to rare early works by Mark Rothko and Roy Lichtenstein.
