A Robert Woolsey costume from Dixiana

Footnotes
The successful wisecracking comedy team of Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey fight over the lovely Dorothy Lee in this cute musical which also stars Bebe Daniels and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. Wheeler & Woolsey were hugely popular in the 1930s and made most of their films during this period for RKO. Unfortunately, Woolsey died in 1938 from kidney failure, thus ending the famous duo. Woolsey can be seen wearing the ensemble at a formal dinner party and later again when he fights with Wheeler over who takes Dorothy Lee to the Mardi Gras.
