Footnotes

"I had done a Broadway play in March of 1973, six months before I would get on the plane to go to Hollywood for the first time. It closed after one night. In 1999 I got a call to read a new play out loud for the brilliant and prolific Neil Simon. It was called The Dinner Party. It opened on Broadway in October of 2000. My very good friend, who we lost way too early, John Ritter, and I did the play together with a fabulous cast including Len Cariou and Penny Fuller for nine months. I am proud to say as a cast we raised the most money that year for Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids. We beat Reba McEntire by $75.00." - Henry Winkler
