4to in 8s (210 x 155mm). 376 leaves, lacking final blank bb8. Black letter. Title trimmed to border and remargined, with some damage to the border-line, title and the early leaves B-I8 and K1 all silked on verso, outer margins of B1-2, and X1, X5 restored, with the loss of a few letters, corners of X8 and bb6 restored, with the extra leaf in quire X making 9 leaves in that quire, P3-6 supplied from another somewhat shorter copy, final text leaf bb7 supplied in photographic facsimile. A disbound copy.

A TALL COPY OF THE RARE FIRST EDITION OF THE AENEID IN SCOTS. Although the London printer Copland is not on the title, this work was printed by Copland to be published with Douglas's Palis of Honoure, which is why the Aeneid has no colophon. This copy, whilst disbound and with a few of the leaves supplied from another copy, is complete excepting the final leaf, here in facsimile, and collates according to Pforzheimer 1027; STC 24797; Grolier Langland to Wither 61.
