The complete set of twelve engravings, 1596-8, the first state (of two) before the address of de Wit, with watermark Crest with Fleur-de-lys and letters CVL, good impressions; with three further engravings, a copy of plate 7 in reverse, Judith and Holofernes after Bartholomeus Spranger (B.272, H.317), Portrait of Goltzius by E.de Boulonois, on laid paper, trimmed to the borderline, each plate laid down onto a larger sheet and bound within boards; together with another volume, Ovid's Metamorphoses (B.31-82, H.508-559), by various engravers after Hendrick Goltzius, the set of 52 engravings, 1589-1615, on laid paper, good impressions, with small margins or trimmed to the platemark, bound within boards, 197 x 130mm (7 7/8 x 5 1/8in)(PL)(Vol 1); 175 x 247mm (6 7/8 x 9 3/4in)(PL)(Vol 2)
