Footnotes
The McIntyre Watch Co. of Kankakee Illinois was organized in 1908 by the entrepreneur Fred S. McIntyre who had developed an improved railroad watch in collaboration with the young Charles De Long. The venture failed within a few years and by 1919 De Long had begun his long association with the Illinois Watch Co.
