Collection of contracts and letters relating to publishing of Woolrich's works, including:
1. Typed Letter Signed ("Cornell"), 2 pp, 8vo, New York, February 10, 1956, to Raymond T. Bond, on Hotel Marseilles letterhead, sending information on story copyrights for works to be included in Nightmare.
2. Document Signed ("Cornell Woolrich"), 3 pp recto and verso, legal folio, New York, December 20, 1957, being the agreement to publish Violence, also signed by Raymond Bond.
3. Typed Letter, plus Annotation Initialed to lower margin of TLS of Mary A. Brennan, 1 p, 4to, April 2, 1958, Brennan's letter asking Woolrich to provide copyright page information for the upcoming collection Violence. Woolrich provides a short typed list on one sheet and continues his information on the lower margin of Brennan's letter.
4. Document Signed ("Cornell Woolrich") 1 p, 4to, New York, May 28, 1958, establishing terms for overseas editions of Woolrich's works.
Lot also includes related unsigned letters and documents regarding Dodd Mead's attempts to publish overseas and squash pirated editions. Some thumbing and wear throughout.
