2 volumes bound together. Folio (302 x 195 mm). [116], 563; [32], 297 pp. Woodcut printer's device on first title and colophon. 27 double-page woodcut maps by Muenster plus a few woodcut maps within text. Second work lacking title (but half-title present). Early vellum over boards, spine lettered in manuscript. Lower cover and second work with some dampstain, blank corner of final text leaf torn away, tiny hole in title of India map, else the first work in fine condition, minor discoloration to vellum.
Fine compendium of two of the most important works of classical geography, the Strabo with commentary by Xylander (third edition) and the Mela with commentary by Vadianus. This edition wholly in Latin, not to be confused the the edition in Latin and Greek published the same year. Adams S1907.
