A pair of blue and white porcelain bowls with ruyi lappet decoration

Daoguang Marks and Period
Each intricately painted in dark cobalt with a band of interlocking scroll work forming a ruyi lappet pattern around the interior walls, a floral roundel of similar form across the floor and another lappet band encircling the exterior walls below a wider frieze resembling mallow blossoms and leaves with a border of triangles at the rim, the six-character mark in underglaze blue seal script entering the recessed base.
5 7/8in (15cm) diameter.
