Made of one concave plate with crimped outer border (old patched and brazed repairs), pierced with four later cone-headed staples each carrying a ring for suspension on the inside, and with a further central cone on an etched leaf-calyx, the outer surface etched at a later date with foliage inhabited by late 16th century musicians in contemporary costume, the outer border of etched roundels between line borders and each centred on an embossed brass rosette (eight missing) secured by an iron rivet
