With fullered blade double-edged towards the point and stamped with Ordnance mark on one side of the forte, the back at the forte stamped 'Reddell' and 'Bat', unmodified regulation russet steel hilt with oval piercings, knuckle-guard pierced for a sword-knot, pommel and back-piece in one, and ribbed cord-bound leather-covered grip (worn, some damage), in original russet steel scabbard with two rings for suspension
